Since
1978, City Cabinetmakers has been manufacturing and designing high
quality custom cabinetry for homes, offices, restaurants and
commercial spaces in Northern California. If you are looking
for cabinets for home or office we are happy
to show you what we can provide. Our custom
sized, full flush overlay cabinets are designed to last a lifetime.
Unlike manufacturers' satellite outlet stores, at City Cabinetmakers
you communicate directly with the sales, design, finishing and manufacturing staff involved in your project. You
get timely expert information about your custom project when you need it, not "the run around". Simple projects
are typically completed in 8 weeks from design to delivery, (smaller projects much quicker).
 |
Unlike the "Big Box" stores, the company has a history of over 25 years of distinctive cabinet design with over 7000 projects in the bay area, (see the sample images in our portfolio). Some City Cabinetmakers' designers have produced over 1500 kitchens each. Since we are the direct manufacturers, your dollar goes directly into your project. Projects using equal quality casework rarely cost less from the "Big Box". Find out why so many clients agree- beautiful custom cabinetry doesn't have to be expensive. |

If
you're an Architect, General Contractor, Designer
or Homeowner, our selection of domestic and imported
woods along with our countless door styles and custom finishes,
will afford you hundreds of options to fit different lifestyles and tastes. Cabinet
interiors are available in melamine finishes & prefinished veneers with both plywood and composite
cores. New sustainable forestry products, (FSC),
are available in some materials as well as materials with
formaldehyde free cores. The choice of heavy
duty drawer slides (150lbs) or soft close drawer slides &
hinges is up to you.

All
of our cabinetry is finished with Sherwin-Williams
conversion varnish, one of the finest, most durable
finishes available. The look and feel of this durable finish in 10 years is the
true test of quality. Whether it's Paint, Custom Stain or Clear finish you are after,
you have to see and feel it for yourself to believe it! So don't be fooled by
competitors claims that you can't get high quality finishes
in California, come in and see for yourself. |

From drawings we can supply
you with a free estimate. We typically bid in one or two materials so that you
can get a good idea of where our pricing might fit into your budget. Often our price leaves extra money in your budget that might allow more attractive options. From time to time we have specials on exotic materials that might enable you to afford something truly special.
|
 |
When
you receive your preliminary estimate please call us so
that we can offer suggestions to help you fine tune the
bid. We also invite you to go check out the competition
for quality, craftsmanship and value. We know you'll be
back!!
When you determine that we are your cabinetmakers, we need to get you on our schedule.
 |
To begin the process we require a one-third deposit and a copy of the signed contract we prepare for you. The deposit puts you in queue on our schedule. Typically our lead time is between 5 and 8 weeks, with shorter times for simple projects. The contract serves as a point of departure on your project. If there are no subsequent changes, this is the price you will pay for your project. However, changes are not unusual. Changes will be priced and accounted for in our change order documents as necessary. |
Between
the time you give us a deposit and you go onto our schedule our office staff will contact you to
set up a site measure meeting. At this meeting we would ask that you, your installer, your architect/designer (if applicable) be present with all necessary appliance specifications from the manufacturers. It is at this meeting that minor changes and inclusions are discussed.
|
Before the arrival of our planner at the job site, all framing and rough plumbing should be completed. You should have copies of all specification sheets for your appliances in your
possession. Now is the time to make those custom changes dictated by your desires and the peculiarities of the job site.
|
|
| It is important that all of the current decision makers involved in your project are present at the jobsite measurement meeting so that everyone comes away with the same perception of what is going to take place. From this visit our
planner create final drawings for your project. Remember we cut to 1/16" so when your cabinets arrive they only fit in one space on the planet...YOURS!! |
 |
On the
date promised, our truck will arrive with your cabinets.
(We don't miss delivery dates!!) We will ask for the
balance due and go through an inventory check sheet as you receive all of the components.
Note:
We deliver curbside only, being manufacturers we are
not insured to offload onto your job site.
